This book details Sir Joseph Banks activities in Lincolnshire and includes brief references to his botanical voyages. As a young boy at Revesby he explored the Fens and Wolds and developed a love of nature. When he eventually married Dorothea they would visit Revesby every Autumn where he played a key role in the county affairs. He was involved in canal building, draining the fens and also served as High Sheriff and the Recorder of Boston among many other things.
